Boat Winterization - Austin
Ski Shores Marine is your Austin boat winterizing expert. Don't leave your boats well being to chance, winterize your boat before the first freeze to be safe. Austin does have mild temperatures, but don't let a sudden hard freeze catch you by surprise. By not winterizing your boat, you run the risk of costing yourself thousands of dollars when an ounce of prevention is all it takes to avoid that mistake.

Basic Winterization Package
• Stabilize the fuel system up to 20 gallons of gas
• Completely drain all the water from the engine block & manifolds, circulating water pump, power steering cooler and oil cooler
• Fog the engine
• Zip tie all plugs and hose clamps to the steering wheel in a winterized bag (The boat will need to be de-winterized in the spring)
• Boat winterization service available for inboard, stern drives, and v-drives

Winterization Package for Stern and V-Drive Boats
• Change engine oil and filter
• Replace fuel filter or filters
• Change transmission fluid or gearlube
• Grease u-joints and gimbal bearing (if applicable)
• Stabilize fuel system up to 20 gallons of gas
• Completely drain all the water from the engine block & manifolds, circulating water pump, power steering cooler and oil cooler
• Fog the engine
• Zip tie all plugs and hose clamps to the steering wheel in a winterized bag (The boat will need to be de-winterized in the spring)

Winterization Package for Inboard Boats
• Change engine oil and filter
• Replace fuel filter or filters
